Products of the Svinná Ecofarm

The main products of the farm are lamb, mutton and beef, geese, ducks, chickens, eggs, honey, fish and medicinal herbs.

Everything on the farm is given maximum space and grazing on the Šumava meadows. No artificial fertilizers or chemicals are used in farming on the farm. We are trying to return the landscape to its former form, especially in terms of mature greenery. We are planting old local varieties of fruit trees in the alleys and the newly created orchard (we currently have more than 70 varieties of fruit trees planted).

On our farm you will have the opportunity to learn more about honey production, you can visit the apiary built a few years ago and taste real Šumava honey. In the immediate vicinity of the apiary there is the Priessnitz healing shower and a pond with swimming.

In the pastures around you can see our two hundred sheep herd, along with twenty cows, a horse, a sheepdog Rique and his dog lady Laura. A flock of ducks refresh themselves in the water by the apiary and a flock of chickens sunbathe nearby.

Above the apiary and by the guesthouse we have a garden with fruit bushes, vegetables and also a field with medicinal herbs. Each type of herb has a label with a description of the herb and its medicinal effects. You can visit the garden at any time and learn to recognize individual types of medicinal herbs.

Most of the farm’s products are used for processing in a local restaurant, purchase is only possible by prior arrangement.
